Achievements in General Medicine

• After qualifying FCPS –I, I worked as postgraduate resident in department  of medicine in Postgraduate Medical  Institute, Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar for two years.
• On completion of training was able to manage all sorts of  medical patients independently.
• Assisted the consultants in managing patients in OPD’s and in wards.
• Performed medical procedures like LP’S,taping pleural/pericardial/ascetic fluid,taking liver biopsies, bone marrow aspiration independently.  
• I had the opportunity of presentation on “Gout” and multiple myeloma in clinical-pathological conference of PGMI/LRH Peshawar.

Achievements in Cardiology

Presently working as Senior Registrar in Department of Cardiology, Hayatabad Medical Complex{HMC} Peshawar,  since Jan.,2012 till date. HMC is a tertiary care hospital located in KPK, Pakistan. The Department of Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery forms the backbone of any tertiary care medical institution. This department in hospital provides comprehensive and modern cardiac care including invasive and non-invasive facilities.

I worked as postgraduate resident in department of Cardiology in PGMI/LRH Peshawar for 3 Years and then as Cardiologist for 7 Years.

This is the leading cardiology department having all sorts of invasive and non-invasive facilities and providing services to the population of whole Khyber Pukhtoon khawa province.

Experience in Clinical Cardiology

Managing all type of cardiac emergencies, including Acute Myocardial Infarction, complete heart block, cardiac temponade, acute LVF and Unstable angina.

Managing all type of cardiac patients in OPD and cardiology ward.

Participation in daily teaching ward round, minimum of two grand rounds per week.   

Presentation on “How to Approach Patients with Syncope”, “Pericardial Effusion / Cardiac Tamponade” and “Cardiac Cause of Syncope” in clinical-pathological conference of our Hospital.

Presentation on outcome of “Balloon Pulmonic Valvuloplasty” at 17th Biennial Congress of Pakistan cardiac society 2005 and SARC Congress of cardiology 2006.

Participated as “Instructor” in Workshop on Hypertension and Dyslipidemia as Smart Heart Program of the Agha Khan University in Collabaration with Cardiology Department PGMI/LRH Peshawar in March 2005.
