To provide medical care to patients with bone and joint ailments irrespective of age, gender, color, creed and race.

To train future orthopedic surgeons who can provide best possible health care to the patients with musculoskeletal problems.

Orthopedic (B) unit is the training unit for students of Khyber Girls Medical College as well as trainees of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.


Department of Orthopedics is providing 24 Hrs emergency services to the province of Khyber Pukhtoon Khwa and neighboring Afghanistan. We deal with all kinds of bone and joints injuries including spinal injuries.

We are also providing orthopedic services like orthro-plasty, Arthroscopy, Ligaments reconstruction, joint construction, pediatric Hip and Feet problems and Orthopedic oncology.


The department has well structured training program both for under graduate and Post graduate students.

The unit is recognized by Pakistan Medical &Dental Council for under graduate teaching and by College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan for post graduate teaching and training. In future we have the vision to establish an Orthroplasty centre in Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar.
